Our Patient Engagement Coordinators (PECs) work directly with our cardiology practice customers and our Remote Care Coordinators to improve patient remote monitoring adherence and compliance. This includes calling patients to ensure they know when they need to transmit their data from their home so they do not miss transmitting data on the prescribed date. In addition, PECs, help newly implanted device patients get setup and educated on remote monitoring. Candidates need to have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills and understand how to communicate in a healthcare setting with patients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide proactive patient engagement by contacting and following up with patients to remind them to transmit their device data for review and to assist them with the technical aspects of transmitting the data using their transmission equipment
  • Experience communicating to patients in a healthcare setting.


Job Description

We are looking for energetic, dedicated, and hardworking Remote Care Coordinators (RCC). GHS is looking for licensed nurse (RN, LPN, LVN) or medical device technicians experienced in reviewing implantable cardiac device (pacemakers or defibrillators) data and have experience working in a device clinic setting or a cardiology practice. The RCC role includes managing the remote monitoring interrogation data, ensuring the transmissions are scheduled properly, and prepping the reports for the cardiology provider in a timely and high quality manner. RCC’s gather implantable cardiac device data and may also review patient medical record data to assist in preparing preliminary reports for physician review, finalization and action.

Responsibilities include:

  • Remotely monitoring data for all monitored Patients followed by a Provider
  • Manage and escalate any alerts transmitted from the Manufacturer Portals to the Geneva platform
  • Prepare Geneva’s standardized RM report to route to the Provider for review, official reading and electronic signature
  • Work closely with the Patient Engagement Coordinator (see description below) to ensure the cardiology practice device patient populations are properly engaged to transmit their data on the prescribed dates.
  • Cardiac device data experience or experience in cardiology preferred.

Job Description:

  • Manage new interface projects by working directly with customers’ integration team
  • Monitor and troubleshoot existing connections between GHS and device manufacturers as well as GHS and customers
  • Work with software development team to design and test new functionality supporting interfaces
  • This is a work from home position with limited travel requirements


  • Experience with HL7 messages, including but not limited to: ORU, ORM, ADT, SIU and MDM
  • Experience with developing and maintaining interfaces with Mirth and other integration engines, including interfaces using MLLP, RESTful APIs, and SFTP connections
  • Experience with JSON and FHIR strongly preferred
  • Experience working with EPIC, Athena and other EHR interface teams
  • 3+ years working with interfaces in healthcare
